A statement from the airport says that the vehicle was trying to service an airplane, and the driver did not notice the two dogs and hit them. Unfortunately, it was a fatal incident for the two innocent dogs.
The incident happened in an area where the Travolta family owns a house and it is a well known fact that the actor is a pilot, too.

It is reported that someone who wasn’t a member of John Travolta’s family was walking the two small sized dogs. Then, tragedy struck – an airport vehicle that was passing by reportedly hit and killed the two dogs.
