World Cup 2010:Uruguay vs. Mexico :Over the course of the last 2 weeks, the World Cup has given the fans a plethora of action. Regardless of whether you are catching it on a major television network or via an online live stream, if you have missed one minute, you’ve missed too much. The FIFA Group A has the two teams moving into the round of 16 noted and not it’s time for some of the others to get busy. If you have a favorite, I sure hope it was Uruguay or Mexico or you are going to be disappointed.
The FIFA Group A matchups were tough. And the group was not without their own controversy. With players balking at their coaches, using profanity and then being sent home to players refusing to practice due to that scenario, Group A definitely provided some excitement for the fans. And now, Uruguay has won the group.
That means that the FIFA Group A finals take Uruguay and Mexico to the second round. Although South Africa made a run and challenged Mexico for that second slot, it was just really too little, too late for them. If you are following closely, Group A winner, Uruguay will play the runner-up of Group B. And of course, that leaves the winner of Group B playing the runner-up, Mexico, from Group A.
